The Island Line Bike Ferry is Vermont’s only bike ferry service and one of a few in the entire country. This destination is one of the most scenic in the world, bringing cyclists and pedestrians across “The Cut”, a 200-foot gap on the beautiful Colchester Causeway. With Burlington 10 miles to the south and South Hero 3 miles to the north, the Bike Ferry is the Island Line connection for locals, tourists, and traveling cyclists. The Bike Ferry is a 45-foot pontoon boat designed to carry 20 passengers and bikes and operates from mid-May to mid-October, 9am to 7pm. Captains work 1-3 days per week. U.S. Coast Guard license, 25-ton Master or higher is required.

We are seeking an experienced and professional USCG Licensed Captain (and crew members) to operate a 100-foot charter boat on the scenic Lake Norman in Cornelius, NC. This vessel is used year-round for private events, including weddings, receptions, corporate outings, birthdays, and other group functions, accommodating up to 100 guests per cruise.
The ideal candidate must ensure the safe operation of the vessel, provide an exceptional guest experience, and coordinate with the crew and event staff to ensure smooth operations for each charter. Most cruises are 3 to 4 hours in duration, with some days requiring multiple trips, particularly on weekends.

Spend your summer and fall giving SNHA’s River Discovery Boat Tours on our historic, USCG-certified passenger vessel, the Chief Uncas! Captain must be a United States Coast Guard (USCG) Licensed Master Captain to operate SNHA’s 55’ long, classic 1912 electric-powered boat. This tour boat cruises with up to 24 passengers, a Crew Member, and a Captain on 1-hour tours of the Susquehanna River region known as Lake Clarke. SNHA also offers longer private cruises. Tours are offered Thursday -Sunday Memorial Day thru October with private cruises on weekdays. Training with returning boat captains will occur for a time frame determined by the B-tour Manager.
COMPENSATION: Starting at $26 per hour
