Introducing 42 North Yacht Management.

I’m Captain Steve, founder and sole operator of 42 North, a Massachusetts-based yacht management company I launched in June 2025 to fill a gap I saw firsthand in New England’s boating market: owners and brokers need a single, licensed, accountable point of contact for vessel care.

42 North offers four core services: freelance captain services, vessel delivery, weekly vessel systems checks, and private navigational instruction. I hold a USCG 200 GRT Master’s license with a 500 GT STCW endorsement, and I operate as a dedicated, single point of contact — every client works directly with me.

I hope to be a valued resource for the members and vessel owners here.

Recently took a party of 7 people on a Formula 380 SSC on a Round-trip excursion from Huntington, NY to Shelter Island, NY with a stop-over at Sunset Beach resort. We circumnavigated the entire island: and we averaged 43 mph on the Long Island Sound.
