Responsibilities

Operate B&G Club vessels with attention to safety & top-tier hospitality
Create a welcoming environment onboard for Members & their guests
Maintain vessel cleanliness & operational readiness
Accurate and timely expense reporting
Expedient completion of post-trip reporting for Member Billing purposes

Qualifications

Valid USCG Merchant Mariner Credential (50Ton Minimum Preferred)
An understanding of basic vessel maintenance & log keeping
STCW training and Survival at Sea are strongly encouraged as well as any other maritime educational experience

I get so many requests for boat rental which they mostly need a license Captain, I was hoping to have someone that I can relay on every time a reservation is coming. I don’t know if that would be a weekday or weekend, but there will be a 48 hours notice every time we need someone.

Looking for a full-time liveaboard boat captain for a 74 FT enclosed bridge Viking sport fishing yacht.

Boat will do tours of the Caribbean. Must have necessary credentials to operate this 100-ton vessel, as insurance must approve the captain.

The Captain provides a key role in the overall success of operation at Cap’n Fish’s Cruises. Captains are responsible for managing a clean and safe vessel with a friendly and knowledgeable crew. Objective & Purpose

Take direction from and report to the Port Captain.
Respect and follow all company guidelines.
Maintain control of the vessel at sea and during berthing maneuvers.
Maintain safe navigation of vessels at all times.

Core Roles & Responsibilities

Perform daily checks of machinery.
Ensure efficient and economical operation of the vessel.
Oversee and manage the crew in accordance with their daily duties.
Provide leadership for vessel crew. Give them feedback daily. Let them know if they are doing good work and let them know if there are areas where they can improve. Provide training as necessary.
Perform daily bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Greet passengers and assist with boarding of the vessel.
Be friendly and courteous with passengers.
Conduct routine and periodic maintenance on the vessel as necessary.
Maintain vessel log book.
Conduct monthly safety drills with the crew under direction from the Port Captain.
Provide educational and enthusiastic narration on various cruises when required.
Conduct proper safety announcements on all cruises.
Participate in a random drug testing program.
Be willing to jump in and help out other members of the team as needed.

Job: Sailboat Captain

Job Description:

We are currently searching for a captain and first mate for positions on a 1996 56 foot Nautor Swan. Persons with experience in sailing instruction is needed as well. This position will require being on video. For the entire 90 days. June 01 until Labor Day Weekend.

This is a new reality sailing show that is being programmed over three months of sailing. The first segment will be shot throughout New England and as far north as Nova Scotia. This is a one year position.

Ideal candidate will have significant sailing experience and be thought of as sort of a jury foreperson. This is meant to be an unscripted reality sailing experience with individuals with no prior experience. These individuals will be from a variety of backgrounds and places. They will have a passion for learning and adventure.

In its entirety there are three planned sailing destinations.
1. New England May, Jun, July
Boat travels to the Med
2. Cruise Mediterranean Italy, Greece, Turkey
September, October, and then connect with ARC for November 21st start date to cross Atlantic and rather than go to St. Lucia we will plan on ending trip in Key West.

3. Last group will sail the Caribbean February, March, April

There is a great deal still in discussion. A great deal of input will be desire from a captain and additional staff as we move forward.
