We are looking for an experienced Captain that understands the waterways in the NYC area, specifically The Hudson River. Also someone who is available on short notice, enthusiastic, flexible and knowledgeable.

The boat is a Shelter Island Runabout that is 38 foot boat weighing 12,000 pounds.

The Captain would need to clean, check oil/transmission, provide minor servicing and have some mechanical ability.

The boat is docked in Tarrytown and my client likes to go out around mid afternoon to almost sunset.

The Training Department at Metal Shark Boats is seeking hardworking individuals to fill salaried, entry level instructor positions in the training team. Instructors deliver basic vessel operations and maintenance training to customers worldwide. The position requires extensive travel to Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Ideal candidates have public speaking ability, enjoy providing instruction and are always willing to learn new vessel systems and skills. Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office Suite efficiently is a must i.e PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc. No prior training background is required but it is preferred. Training design, development and delivery style would be taught to new instructors. Cross training on multiple Metal Shark vessel platforms would be performed as well. Possession of a Maritime degree, 6 Pack/25 Ton Captain’s License or Marine Mechanical certification is a plus. Eligible candidates must have valid passport and no criminal background. Position is labor intensive, candidate must not have any limitations on lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods of time and performing training and technical support duties in extreme environments. You’ll have to be a jack of all trades at times, and be called upon to be both a teacher, a writer, a brand ambassador, and sometimes a repair technician. Looking for captain for a pontoon boat on Aug 6 in Nashville TN area. Boat is already reserved, just need a driver.

We are looking for a seasonal licensed boat captain/sailing instructor for a private estate this summer (Thursdays to Mondays from June to September). Responsibilities include the maintenance of boats, including sailboats and kayaks, operating the boats, as well as providing sailing instruction. USCG Operator’s License (6-Pk) required and experience with Beetle Cats/Hinkley strongly preferred.
