Prowler Charters operates two charter boats out of in Bandon Oregon. One is a 50 foot delta and the other is a 40 foot Westport. Both of these boats are inspected, and operate on ocean waters, so a Master 25 ton Near Coastal or higher license is required. We are currently looking for a responsible captain for the 40 footer. Maya’s Legacy Whale Watching seeks an enthusiastic, people-oriented captain to run personalized, high-end, whale watching & wildlife eco-tours. Our captains provide an exceptional experience to our guests by offering the highest level of customer service and safety standards.

Primary Job Duties:

Operating the vessel and overseeing tour experience
Attending to pre and post trip vessel needs
Working with our close knit team, including on board naturalists
Engaging in the experience
Communicating with other drivers in the fleet
Abiding by federal and industry guidelines for ethical whale and wildlife viewing.

Ideal Candidate’s Qualifications:
USCG License; Minimum OUPV (6-pack), Masters preferred
Self motivated with an ability to work on a team and independently
Strong work ethic and personal integrity
Detail and safety-oriented
Customer service experience
Knowledge of regional wildlife and conservation issues preferred but not required for the right candidate
Background in ecotourism preferred but not required for the right candidate

Ahoy! We’re a small sailing charter company and ASA sailing school in Montauk. We offer 2 and 3 hour sailing trips, private lessons, junior sailing programs and ASA sailing courses on 22′ sailboats.

We are looking for skippers that are personable and who enjoy sharing their love of sailing with the guests. Ideally, applicants will live in the Montauk or East Hampton area, or be able to reliably commute there. Candidates must be comfortable sailing our boats without any assistance.
