Job Description:

Our company is seeking a Part-time Captain for a 25 foot USCG safe boat to navigate our executive client across the Hudson River between Yonkers NY and Battery Park City, NY.

Position specific responsibilities:

1. Ensuring the safety of passengers, crew, and vessel
2. Proper piloting of a single propeller vessel
3. Adhere to all United States Coast Guard rules, and regulations
4. Observe and communicate any maintenance needs of the vessel
5. Launch preparations
6. Anchoring and mooring, Docking and undocking

Required Experience and Knowledge:

• Experience navigating 25 FT coast guard safe boat or equivalent vessel
• Possess minimum requirements for the safe operation of a class 1 motorboat (or higher)
• Expert piloting/ navigation skills
• Expert knowledge of buoys and markers
• Safety, first aid, CPR
• Emergency procedures
• Voyage and passage planning

Required license or certification:

• Motorboat operator certified (MOCC)
• USCG certified (preferred)

Hours/Compensation:

Positon is paying $25 per hour. The successful individual must be able to dedicate 3 days per week which will be rotating weekly.
