Crewed Yacht Team – Captain And Stew/Chef
The Usvi/Bvi And Northeast U.S.
Mariners Club has revolutionized yachting with best-in-class hospitality and access to our Fleet Vessels. Catering to our private membership group, captains run core group of 70+ Hinckley yachts, and a growing fleet of brand new, custom built Daychaser 48’s. We provide our captains top notch equipment and training to empower them to provide our members with incredible experiences on the water.
Our growing team is currently looking for a USCG licensed captain and chef team (couples welcome!) to operate high-end overnight cruising aboard the Club’s 62’ catamaran in the USVI/BVI and throughout the Northeast during the Summer months. Cruises will last 3-7 days based on location & time of year.
CAPTAIN PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure the safety of all clients throughout the charter
• Be responsible for the safe piloting, navigation, anchoring and operation of the yacht at all
times
• Act as a host for the charter party, organizing activities and excursions as required, and
providing local information throughout the charter
• Keeping yacht clean while on charter (cleaning teams are provided between trips)
• Other duties as directed by Manager
STEW/CHEF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage planning and provisioning of the yacht for charter. Ensure that the menu is in accordance with the guest’s preference sheets and that meals are well prepared and tastefully presented
• Daily housekeeping of all guest areas of the yacht to standard
• Keep accounting records in good order, and ensure that expenditures are kept within the
charter budget
• Keeping yacht clean while on charter
• Assist the captain with all elements of deck work as required
• Other duties as directed by Manager
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A CAPTAIN:
• USCG Merchant Mariner Credential – 50 ton Master
• Previous experience in the USVI/BVI
• Prior experience on similar sized yachts
• Ability to communicate with customers at all levels
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A CHEF:
• Previous experience in a similar position
• Experience working to dietary requirements and particular preferences
• Previous waiting and housekeeping experience
• Ability to communicate with customers at all levels
• Experience working to budgets
