Full-Time Seasonal Position – Summer 2022 – Juneau, Alaska

Duties: Jayleen’s Alaska requires captains that are safe, self-motivated, detail orientated, and customer-focused. Your main responsibilities will be to provide a safe, instructive, upbeat, 4-hour whale watching tour.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be expected to ensure that your company vehicle & vessel are clean & operational. To achieve this, you will be independently working with periotic check-ins throughout the day from other employees and/or management.
Your work will enable the company to operate at its full capacity.
Qualifications:
Required:
• USCG 6 pack Captain license, upon Inside Passages (at a minimum).
• Work experience in tourism
• Experience working independently
• Demonstrated verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent conflict resolution skills
• Values Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
• Commitment to lifelong learning
• An interest or formal learning of Marine Biology
Assets:
• Experience on Alaskan waters
• Experience analyzing weather, reading GPS & depth finders & using VFH radios
Conditions of Employment:
• Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Alaska & the United States
• Satisfactory Criminal Records Check and clean random drug test record (per USCG captain license requirement)
• Valid Driver’s license

Our growing team is looking for USCG licensed captains to operate the Club’s meticulously maintained 36′ – 44’ Hinckley yachts throughout South Florida, South Carolina, and the Northeast. B&G captains operate day and evening trips and are back in their home port each night, enjoying a lifestyle unique in the industry.
Our captains have the opportunity to work with the Club year-round or seasonally in our South Florida, South Carolina, and Northeast harbors. Seasons run June to October in the Northeast, and November to May in our southern and Bahamas harbors.
Responsibilities:
Operate B&G Club vessels with attention to safety
Provide top-tier hospitality in all interactions with members.
Create a welcoming environment onboard for members & their guests
Maintain vessel cleanliness & operational readiness
Accurate and timely expense and post-trip reporting
Requirements:
Valid USCG Merchant Mariner Credentials.
Marine Radio Operator Permit
Must have experience on vessels of similar size
An understanding of basic vessel maintenance & log keeping
Proficiency in hospitality
