Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and responsible Boat Captain to oversee vessel operations and ensure the safety and satisfaction of passengers for June 1, 2026-September 15, 2026. Housing on the Island is paid for. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, mechanical knowledge, and experience throughout Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard and MA/RI. iThis role involves navigating waterways, managing mechanical systems, and keeping the vessel in trip ready at all times. A background with jet drives needed.
– Conduct routine maintenance checks on mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance
– Plan routes considering weather conditions, water traffic, and safety protocols
– Handle emergency situations calmly and effectively, demonstrating strong skills
– USCG license 50T
