Sailing Tours is looking for a part-time, on-call sailboat Captain to be a guide on one of our sailing vessels in San Diego Bay. Our friendly and professional staff create an unforgettable experience for clients looking for a luxurious, relaxing journey in our scenic bay. The captain we are looking to add to the team understands the value in creating such an experience and providing exceptional customer service. $20-50/hour.

Our guests can book a trip on one of our three vessels at various starting times throughout the week. We are looking for someone who is flexible, reliable, and can work on an on-call basis, if necessary.

Job Duties:
-Sail! Take guests on full-service trips lasting 2,3, or 4 hours.
-Greet customers warmly and maintain a positive, luxurious environment throughout customer interaction.
-Answer questions about the vessel and provide information about other products and services.
-Must be able to do light maintenance on the vessels pre and post-appointment.
-Work with customer service and management staff to create a positive, efficient work environment.
-Maintain all facets of the dock operations.
-Present information about the city and area throughout each appointment in an exciting way.

We are looking for a self-starter individual who can hit the ground running and start sailing with us immediately. Part-time work is available now with the potential for full-time work in the future.

Looking to hire a Captian with an OUPV or a Master License. We have a 20ft pontoon boat in which we use to pick up clients at the marina and bring them to the jetski location. The time of operation is 10am-6pm Preferably the weekends. Please let me know of you would be interested.

Private Sportfishing Boat Captain:
Seeking an experienced Captain for a 70-foot custom Sportfishing vessel based out of Stuart, Florida 9 months of the year and Cape Cod, Massachusetts 3 months of the year.
The ideal candidate will have a 50-ton U.S.C.G license and have strong nautical and mechanical knowledge.
The Captain will be responsible for carrying out regular Captain duties, including managing the vessel, keeping up with mechanical maintenance, as well as keeping everything clean and in good working order.
You will also interact with an owner very knowledgeable about boating and sportfishing.

We have an immediate permanent liveaboard opening for a CAPTAIN/ENGINEER with a 200T license to join our boutique charter company providing weeklong adventure, wellness, fishing, and diving charters in the Bahamas. Our two yachts—a 100-foot tri-deck expedition yacht with twin CAT 3412s and a 65-foot express cruiser with twin MANs—are currently based in Fort Lauderdale for the final phase of what has been an extensive refit. Solid experience navigating/chartering the Bahamas needed. Skills with watersports, diving, fishing a big plus. Team-player attitude. Strictly non-smoking. No alcohol abuse. Thank you!

You will need to communicate with the lead Captain and office as the schedule progresses and be able to step in and help the other Captains, dock crew and cleaners. Must possess a USCG license with vessel assistance towing endorsement.

Some of the job duties include but are not limited to:

Be willing to learn the various hull styles and how they handle

Reporting any mechanical issues with the equipment to the office

Safely piloting guest boats in and out of the marina

Instructing dock hands on basic marine etiquette

Safely performing tows and salvages for disabled vessels

Safely operating a small vessel for scenic private tours

Performing complementary taxis to and from the buoy field as well shuttle runs to the airport

Instructing guests on proper boat handling techniques and etiquette

Having a basic mechanical understanding of the various types of motors we use (outboards, inboards, small gasoline motors)

Assisting the maintenance team with dock plumbing and decking as needed

Assisting the dock crew and cleaners and if they fall behind schedule.

Assisting the marina store as needed

Other duties assigned by supervisor, manager or general manager
