We are looking for USCG licensed captains with the Towing Endorsement. Applicants must live in the Avalon, NJ area and be able to demonstrate competent boat handling skills. Applicants must pass a pre employment drug test and be enrolled in random drug testing program through our company. Diving certification or mechanical skills a plus.

Cruise on the Connecticut River in Massachusetts on a newly commissioned tourboat. Firstlight Power is currently seeking a licensed captain for our 2018 season to operate our 2017 40 X 14 Pontoon style vessel with a 49+2 capacity. Tours operate on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from July 6 through October 14th. A minimum 25 ton license is required.

Captains & Mates

Our Captain and Mate positions require a degree, proper licenses, and previous experience navigating vessels of similar size to our cruise ships. Most of our ships are licensed under Subchapter K of USCG regulation and all are equipped with the latest safety, navigation, and communications systems. Our Captain positions are ideal for current or retired Naval and Coast Guard officers with command experience who are interested in a second career. Our Mate positions are perfect for licensed captains who are looking for an onboard leadership role. Candidates must be able to get along with well-educated, affluent passengers, and represent the company in a professional manner.

Both Captains and Mates will work for a rotation of 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off as a part of their full-time employment. This flexible work schedule allows our Captains and Mates to live anywhere in the nation and travel to the ship when necessary. On board, both Captains and Mates receive private accommodations.

Note: Due to Coast Guard regulations, we can only hire American citizens to work on board our ships. All candidates must also be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test to be officially hired.

Tow Boat Captain

TowBoatUS Lake Norman is looking for a boat captain and sunken recovery technician. We are the only company on the lake that handles the big jobs from sunken excavators to 1.5 million dollar yachts hard aground. Only hard working, reliable candidates will be considered. Areas of coverage are Gasparilla Sound, Charlotte Harbor, Pine Island Sound, and the Gulf Waters.

TUGBOAT CAPTAIN – The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the operation and safety of Company owned fleet of towing vessels. This person will work with the BMI team to ensure the highest level of customer service and safety.
Responsibilities

The job responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

Safely making and breaking tow with yachts and commercial vessels, barges, handling lines and wires.

Coordinate scheduling and billing for outside towing resources. (Boats and Operators).

Oversees preventative maintenance and prepares and keeps required logs and reports for Company owned vessels.

Oversees the safety and compliance of Company owned vessels including all installed equipment, documentation and inspections thereof.

Comply with all applicable local, state and federal laws/regulations for navigation, boat handling and environmental.

Requirements

Licensed Tugboat Captain should possess 2+ years of experience.

Looking for a full & part time USCG captain w/towing endorsment

We are looking for a mate for a busy 34′ charter boat out of Atlantic Beach Nc. Applicant must be good with people. Reliable punctual and able meet cg requirements. Fishing experience is a plus obviously but not a requirement as , long as you are willing to listen and learn. Possible a position on board commercial fishing vessel as well in the off season. Manchester Yacht Club, a private yacht club in Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA is hiring Launch Operators for the 2018 season: June to September. USCG launch tender license and Red Cross CPR certification are required. 20-30-hrs/wk. Position requires ability to work day, evening & holiday hours. MYC is a private yacht club for the use of enjoyment of its members and guests, to whom courtesy should be shown at all times.
Duties include:
• Good proficiency in boat handling, safety and seamanship.
• Ability to communicate effectively over VHF radio.
• Being punctual, arriving to work in proper uniform, and being polite and courteous to the membership of the yacht club
• Responsible for the correct flag etiquette with respect to the main flagpole/yardarm and launches.
• Maintaining daily routines and rituals relating to the MYC waterfront while providing launch service to the membership.
• Help maintain launches in Bristol condition
• Assist the Race Committee as requested

I am an owner/operator who wishes to expand his knowledge alongside an experienced Captain. The right Captain has the opportunity to Captain/crew/navigate/tour South Florida / Caribbean and in March/April we will freighter the yacht to Mediteranean..
The yacht is brand new 2019 Princess 43′ Yacht in the Mediterranean arriving this October 2018.
The contract is scheduled for 12 months from October 2018 to October 2019, with vacation in March 2019-April 2019.
October 2018 – April 2019 in South Florida/Caribbean and April 2019-October 2019 in Mediterranean, and finally October 2019 back in South Florida.
Must be International Certificate of Competence (ICC)

Experience in Mediterranean a plus.

Compensation based on experience.
